The 7th Circuit Court of Appeals has allowed Indiana’s ban on care for transgender youth to take effect.
The court issued a stay Tuesday, overturning a June decision from a federal judge that blocked the health care ban.
The three-judge panel heard oral arguments in the case on Feb. 16 and released its decision Tuesday, saying it would release an opinion at a later date.
Indiana’s Senate Bill 480 bans health care providers from administering gender-affirmin...

Newsom calls Trump ‘weakness masquerading as strength’
California Gov. Gavin Newsom (D) labeled former President Trump as "weakness masquerading as strength" in an interview that aired Sunday.
NBC's Kristen Welker pressed Newsom in an interview on "Meet the Press" whether Democrats were underestimating Trump as he faces a likely rematch with President Biden next November. He said that Democrats were not underestimating Trump and slammed him for recent comments made at his political rallies last week.

Trump’s circus is stealing the show: How Democrats can shift the narrative
In an era where Donald Trump's presence dominates the news cycle, vacuuming up attention with relentless force, it's imperative that Democrats cut through the noise with unwavering focus and discipline. Amid a barrage of headlines that often veer into sensationalism, Democrats have a critical mission to steer every policy conversation back to their foundational commitments — addressing income inequality, expanding health care access and championing compassionate, orderly immigration ref...

Sen. JD Vance (R-Ohio) is delivering a Dr. Seuss-inspired birthday message to his son, straight from the Senate floor.
The Ohio Republican took to the floor on Monday as the upper chamber continued its consideration of a $95.3 billion national security supplemental that would provide foreign aid for Israel and Ukraine.
After speaking at length about his criticism of further aid to Ukraine, Vance said, “Now, I want to move on to another argument. But before I do, I am...

There are better ways to address drug costs than importing socialized medicine
Today, Johnson & Johnson, Merk and Bristol Myers Squibb are testifying in front of the Senate Health, Education, Labor, and Pensions (HELP) Committee. Listening to what the drugmaker executives have to say about medicine prices would ordinarily be a valuable exercise. But under the proverbial interrogation lamp of HELP Committee Chairman Bernie Sanders (I-Vt.), the proceedings will be more akin to the Salem witch trials.
The committee hearing is set to focus on price disc...
