First over-the-counter birth control pill ships to retailers, will hit shelves this month

The first birth control pill available without a prescription in the U.S. has shipped to retailers and will be available in most stores and online later this month, its manufacturer announced Monday.

According to Perrigo, Opill is available for preorder this week from select online retailers and is expected to be on store shelves at major retailers nationwide in the coming weeks.
